Eine transnationale Geschichte?"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"hlFld-Abstract\">\n<div class=\"abstractSection abstractInFull\">\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/durchsichten.achmnt.eu\/mn6we\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>durchsichten.achmnt.eu\/mn6we<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Recent historiography stresses the \u2018fundamentally transnational\u2019 character of \u20181968\u2019. The revolt against traditional sexual mores in this vein appears to be one aspect of a transnational or even global \u2018youth revolt\u2019. However, when looking beyond slogans such as \u2018Make love, not war\u2019 and the iconic images of Berlin\u2019s \u2018Kommune 1\u2019, we discover fundamental differences in the ways in which protest movements dealt with sexuality. While \u2018liberating\u2019 sexuality in the early 1960s became a core concern of the German New Left, the respective French and British movements paid the topic only scant attention. The article discusses causes and consequences of these divergent paths.
